At our summit in 2018, Espen Myklebust and the Revolut team delivered a talk on what it takes to build a unicorn startup; the strategies used by this group as they aimed to become the world’s first global bank. We also got to catch up with Revolut’s Global Expansion & former Country Growth lead for Asian markets, Sarveen Chester, who continues to serve as a mentor to the Hult Founders Lab – a long-time partner to the Vertex Incubate series.
2 years later, the company has achieved some remarkable growth. Sarveen Chester shared a few of the milestones that were most recently achieved, which include a tripling of revenues over the last year, 186% retail customer growth, 260% business customer growth, a 231% increase in daily active customers, and a skyrocketing customer deposits volume increase of £1.41 billion.
